Gil, drama, and tavnazia!

I've been soloing Cogtooth a lot more lately; letting people leeching the box for the SCNM. Lots of money drops!




At this rate I only need 14 more of them to drop to afford gaiters I think!

I totally messed up and let one of them die unclaimed though :( It was at 1% and I was getting careless, so I ran a little too far down the river...only to get charmed by the eye NM. Then Cogtooth decides to die from poison! So no drops for me :(


I did the Hagun enm again, no drop :(

We scheduled a sky farming run on like Thursday because everyone was like "I want haidate/neptunal abj gear/random stuff!!", and then nobody showed up...

Started off as just me/Darkk. Did Zip then Faust.



Thano came up next, so we tried for MG. Didn't really quite work out; I died on the pull and it pretty much just went from bad to worse. Another ls with like a 754980 people got it Ketna came up next and raised us. They were doing really poorly, and eventually wiped.

We recovered faster, since it was only 4 of us. Tried having Ketna pull, but it didn't quite work again and we both died. Thano/Darkk died again soon after. The other LS got it again.

They died AGAIN (they had like the strangest alliance of people ever; 6 NINs 1 WHM 5 BLMs 1 THF and 1 DNC), so then we got it! Got it to about 5%, made a mistake and me/Darkk died. We RRed and was about to deliver the final nuke...when a blm in the other LS killed it...

It was still attacking Thano, and Ketna was alive as well. I always hate when people say "Yellow=fair game" because it's such a silly attitude. It's just common sense/courtesy to wait until everyone in the opposing alliance has died before taking. That's what we did when they wiped. Meh, oh well.


We went to SC after and got it fairly easily.


We went to Diorite after since Seeko logged on. No drop after 1.5hours :(.

The MG incident is kind of the reason I hate sky, and running around all over waiting for NMs to repop, then rushing to claim is also annoying. It was really dissappointing that nobody came up (except Ketna) to help, since we would've definately gotten MG with another person. And I hate having to specifically ask or tell people to come to events, since it should just be common sense to come if you're online.

I made a Gnole Torque maze this week too. The bunny was crazy strong, and totally destroyed us..


Went back the next day as 5 BLM/NINs and a WHM/BLM. Just did ES sleep>nuke order and won! No drop of course.

Going to try and alternate this and the Bugard till Thano/Darkk/Seeko/Arc can finish their maze.

I went to Dynamis-Sandoria as PUP/SCH to try nuking this time. It went fairly well.

My puppet: 1371. BLM: 990.

848 nuke on a statue, then a drain from myself to one 1shot it.

1494 against a Grappler.

I was also able to land Sleep on mobs as well. So while BLM is obviously still better because of sleepga1/2, PUP does ok nuking damage if you need it.

Saturday I put together a Tavnazia run, which some of Alttab's members were less than pleased with...

I don't even see what the big deal was. HPG decided that Valentine's Day would be a free run (which was silly, since both his run and my tavnazia combined had about 30 people; and more would've came if you would get points from it). He decided (no vote or anything) to do Windy to try and farm shells for his level 2 Bravura. I asked in LS if we could do Tav, he refused. A bunch of people in our alliance suggested that if we could set up a Tavnazia, that they would go. So I did.

Had 13 people. Run wasn't the greatest; lots of mistakes. We did get PLD body and WAR legs though!


Thano/Seeko did qufim later that night, and I was getting simulatenous updates on the drops/happenings!

We did 3 more Sarameyas this past weekend, with a lot more people. It wasn't as great as I wanted it to be; in fact the first run was pretty horrible. We ended up wiping at about 15% or so. It did blaze spikes right as we wiped, so it ended up regening to 100%. Sac'd, and retry. Got it to 9%, but it did Chainspell, and yet again wiped. We did manage to prevent it from regening though, so we recovered and destroyed it.

Second fight went pretty smooth; no wipes at all. It was less GoH spammy though. Third fight we ended up wiping at 1%, and had it regen a little, but oh well. 2 more Oracle Robes and a Foolkiller.

I think the problem was the extra people were making us kill it too fast. Like it would howl>hate reset>CS, then mages would be in trouble. The tanks had less control and stuff. Also the extra melees weren't supported that well.

Did Dynamis-Bastok for our recruit day #1. Myuda was absent so of course SCH dropped! I went as PUP for some skill ups, but it was utterly useless. We had like 50 people, and mobs were destroyed so fast. My automaton got 1 hit in, if I was lucky.

Alie/Kazema lotted the exact same 593 on Argute Pants. Unfortunately KC beat them, so I have no idea what would've happened.


Did a random Cogtooth solo the other day. 26 minutes from pull to kill! Unfortunately no drop on the Llwyd's Clogs which are worth 1M.


I don't really know what I'm saving up gil for anymore. There's nothing I have left to buy I think. I mean, I suppose random salvage pieces I have lying around like Marduk Body/Head and Usukane Hands, but meh. Too lazy to do the 25s for them anyway.

I did a merit party on PUP! Was kind of sad when Natsuko passed my PUP up for Krosis' 74 MNK with no merits at all...compared to my fully merited and well geard PUP, but oh well! I did play with it a little later. Here's some damage :

While PUP is never going out parse a well equipped 2hander, it's perfectly fine in merits. It's not like you won't get infinite chain if you don't invite a PUP.

Hagun ENM solo!

I saw someone else tried this, so I decided to go for it.

It was really, really easy. (radar of course...)

Kite around the huge rock thing in the middle-ish I guess? If you've done this enm before, you should know where I'm talking about it.

I used chainspell at the start. Only took about 4 nukes to get it below 75% (it hides underground every 25%). It also binds you every time it hides, use that time to rest up.

Every time you locate it, it'll open with "Pit Ambush", which strips shadows and does about 500-700damage (300-400 with stoneskin). As soon as I found it, I did Ni>run a little>poison>bio.

I nuked with blizzard for the most part. I used cream puffs+ entered on iceday. Did 646~ blizzard 3s. I didn't get resisted once. I did Aero III twice, when it was at like 53%, and I wanted to force it under really fast.

Finished 10:21. I lucked out kind of, and it hide then repop on me automatically. Scared me, and almost died. It did obviously save a few minutes in looking for it.

Ok, so first of all, FT got a LOT bigger over the past week. A lot of people have been asking to join LS too, which we've been turning down. I'm not sure what caused the sudden interest in our LS; I think it's because I AFK in whitegate with town gear that not many people have (Alkalurops, SCNM hat, full morrigan etc), so then people ask about our LS?

I kind of liked a smaller LS, but this is ok too. 12 people per event has been helpful in speeding things up. A lot of people are part time too.

Did a ton of Tinnin path ZNMs throughout the week, and then did 3 actual Tinnins on Friday. Best 3 drops in a row I've seen.

We pretty close to our next round of Sarameyas soon. Just need 3 Nosferatus to complete our 3 sets.

Alttab is recruiting again for whatever reason. We have 35-40 people for dynamis, and HPG wants more, joy. It's not like recruiting does anything, since out of the 15 people we get, only 1 or 2 people end up staying, if that.

He's also gotten crazy with the rules and stuff. Apparently I need /37DRK (not going to happen) by May 7th. At least we'll be doing cities soon, and it seems like Plasma has quit, so I'm next in line for PUP stuff. Also I'll be coming PUP to the cities to hopefully finish up my melee skill. It's 242/269 or something.

Saturdays Xarcabard was pretty lame, till the last 15 minutes where we unbelievably got 3 RDM hats in a row. Pretty crazy stuff.

I ended up starting to write this post a few days earlier with just a few updates on what we did over the week, full morrigan's etc... but with the events that happened on 1/22...

SE finally got around to banning all the people that had duped the salvage/nyzul/sandworm stuff today. About 950 I think total? Some are apparently temp bans though, or they'll find out in 3 days for sure.

I don't think the glitch was super popular on the NA side of Levi (Salvage isn't even that popular, I think I'm only the second NA with full morrigan's). I know of a few people that did it, who I'm sure are banned now, but nothing like some of the other servers where basically entire shells were banned. It'll be interesting to see what will happen on those servers, where the shells which were banned were the ones that dominated all the HNMs, and now that they're gone, will those camps/endgame scene be like.

I did actually participate in the glitch once, on the starting chest in salvage to see if it actually worked, since it sounded so ridiculous. We never did it on NMs or anything else, since we were scared of the eventual ban. Even if it was REALLY tempting to do it.

The BG thread(s) are kind of crazy. I remember in November when they patched the glitch, and people were saying that everyone who duped was going to get banned. The people who duped retaliated that they were just jealous and they won't be getting banned etc etc.. Now everyone that warned about the bans are pretty much laughing the entire thread.

Anyway next few days will be interesting to see how what happens across the servers, and the full list of people that were banned.


I had to change tons of macros after getting the slops a few days ago. It took forever and there's still lots of mistakes I think...

We did Dynamis-Tavnazia in Alttab finally. Unfortunately, the majority of the LS for whatever reason decided that the win was important to them, and since we only had 30 people in LS 18 went for the win and 12 went to farm. The win group failed, and after they were all complaining how it was a waste of 30k. It's not like we didn't try and warn them that the Tav win was useless...

Our farm run went ok. Got PUP & NIN body to drop, but we didn't manage to get the last extension.

We finally did our Sarameyas that we've had forever. Had 10 people for the fight, including Beni, so I guess like 9.5.

Could definitely do with less DD, if you don't care about drops you could drop the THF (but that would be foolish considering it drops multiple expensive and rare items), and would've been easier if our WHMs had /SCH leveled (hint hint!), but overall the fights went very well.

We used SAM/WAR tanks, which proved to work very well. Obviously having fire resist is required. Here's some of the damage they took:
