I saw a shout for a Tyger run, and well since all I need is its tail to go 3/3, I decided what the hell, it's only 500zeni!
They asked me to come smn which was cool and a nice surprise.
Started out really rough; at about 85% both our tanks (PLD/NIN and RDM/NIN) died, and it became a kite/avatar tank time!
Lots died, but we somehow managed to hold it and recover. The Tyger island is really big, and it doesn't draw in. The rest of the fight went fairly smoothly; it only tried to do Fulmination once and we stunned it.
My damage was between 600-1100~ which was pretty nice. Plus, avatars feed 0TP and zero hate! I was in the tank pt, and Earthen Ward was kind of nice for the tanks. I'm like the only SMN in FT though...
Which got me thinking that everyone in the ls has so many redundant jobs, and I'm the only one with unique ones. Like everyone has war/sam/mnk/nin/whm/blm/brd/rdm/pld/thf/rng/drg/whatever else is common. And I'm the only one with smn/cor/pup/sch. PUP isn't that useful, but COR would be really nice for a lot of stuff for the buffs+ quick draw damage; smn is good DD for various fights (like Tyger); and SCH is just all around a good job to have.
What's even worse is that people are leveling new jobs: more war/drg/sam yay! Trina is leveling COR, but she's also brd/rdm.. so blah!
I did die near the end though; stupid Tourbillion!
Drops were less than stellar, oh well.
Got an ok drop from Hagun ENM:
410k total. I was contemplating keeping the Forager's, but changed my mind.
Sandy took La Vaule this week. I kind of wanted to find time to do Splitting Heirs, but didn't manage to. Decided to just buy the sash.
Set me back a little on my gaiters fund. I need really to start spamming Zekka, since clogs have officially stopped selling. I've even put them up for 500k, and still nothing.
Been fooling around more in Beadeaux [S]. The NMs are so much harder than La Vaule! I think Ore Lob is the worst; wipes and goes through shadows and can do 1k through stoneskin, fun!
Seeko's been helping me with the pulls/so I can formulate solo strategies without the stress of a solo/speeding up the fights. Started off with the PLD.
Seeko sac'd it to the Quadav Charm door and away we went! It's not too bad really... casts often, and turns its back to you here and there. I think I died at 50%ish to Shell Charge. Only had 1 shadow up, and apparently you need 2 for it?
Fight got kind of rough below 33% with that annoying Cure 4 spam and took forever. Definately will never solo this because of that.
Shield didn't drop, oh well.
I tried the DRK solo the next day. I pulled it to this safe little corner near where it pops. I think there might be better spots, maybe even all the way at the zone.
Taru blood!
Started off a bit rough, I didn't quite read up about it on wiki. So I accidently ended up blizzard 3ing it, and curing it for 880HP. I didn't realize it switches between magic absorbing and melee absorbing mode..
Anyway, was going well till it Ore Lob'd at 75% and one shotted me. So lame.
Tried again the next day, and got it 22% before I dc'd and of course died. It did that annoying AoE gravity move that dynamis quadavs have. Wipes shadows and did pretty decent damage.
Also messed up here and cured it for 930 HP. yay
Bio 3 healing it for 202, yay.
Tried the goblin next: Blifnix Oilycheeks. Fight till 66% is really easy; it just sits back and shoots. Once it reaches, it'll start meleeing and shooting and the fun starts!
Pretty difficult. My utsu timers were barely making it, and had some close calls with Goblin Rush.
Finally died though. No money drops again.
Tried Bres the fomor next. Unfortunately I didn't have 2hour, and kind of got owned when it did 100 hundred fists, but this one looks easy to solo. Just tons of hp.
Oh well, really hope we go 2/2 on these so I don't have to do them again!
LS did sky a lot recently. Lots of drama over Byakko's Haidate... kind of just wanted to break everyone's pearls that complained. Like seriously it's a 3 person line at most. And if you really wanted it, why not put more energy into farming and helping instead of throwing fits and complaining.
We did get 2/3 that we needed, and the last person that needs can't even equip yet so yay.

Observant Zekka solo!
I've been trying to go 8/8 on Beadeaux SCNMs, started out with the imp to try and get Piper's Torque too!
Pops behind the Quadav Charm door (yay for less inventory space!) on the lower level, but you'll want to be on the upper level since you will be pulling it and fighting it up there.
There's a couple of little corners close to the spawn where the quadavs won't run to. Pretty much just wait for the qudavs to move away from the imp (so when you claim it and lose sneak, they won't aggro..), then take it back to the little corner. This fight is done straight tank, so you shouldn't be moving from your corner.
It's basically a normal imp with a few twists. You will need echo drops to counter Deafening Tantaras and you Antidotes might be useful to counter Poisonga II(I didn't bring Antidotes though).
Spells it casts: Thunder III, Blizzard III, Fire III, Aero III, Thundaga II, Firaga II, Poisonga II, Choke, Burn, Drain, Sleep, Sleep II, Sleepga 1, Sleepga II.
It doesn't have TP regen.
It has 3 "modes". After it uses Abrasive Tantaras, it will reflect any magic cast on it with an instant cast AM spell of that element. Obviously since there's no dark AM, it chooses to reflect back Sleepga II after you cast Bio. I'm not sure what it would cast if you used a light based spell on it.
The only 3 spells you should be casting on it post Abrasive Tantaras though are Poison II, Bio III, and Slow II. Which means you should only be worrying about Flood, Sleepga II, and Quake.
After it uses Deafening Tantaras, it will counter any weapon skills with Frenetic Rip. This shouldn't apply to you, since you shouldn't be meleeing anyway.
It starts off in a normal mode, where it won't counter weaponskills or magic. It will only counter one kind of action at a time; it won't be in magic and weapon skill countering mode at the same time. So if it uses Abrasive, it will start countering magic. Say 5minutes later, it uses Deafening, now it'll start countering weaponskills only.
I think the difficulty of the fight largely depends on how early it uses Abrasive Tantaras. The first time I did this, it used it at 73%, and it was a huge pain. The second time it used it at 37%, and then did Deafening at 24% (since mobs use TP automatically at 100% when below 25%).
It also does NOT double attack, so it's pretty easy to count shadows.
Fight took me about 50minutes, with minimal nuking (maybe like 6 blizzard IIIs the entire fight)
Random pics!
(You can see quickly it reflects in this SS.)
Here it began casting Sleepga II, and bio was off, so while it was casting, I hit it with another Bio III, and it immediately reflected back with a second sleepga II.
I'm going to try and solo the other 7, but just getting them to a safe location is really challenging. There isn't any super magic lose aggro river in Beadeaux.

Gil, drama, and tavnazia!
I've been soloing Cogtooth a lot more lately; letting people leeching the box for the SCNM. Lots of money drops!
At this rate I only need 14 more of them to drop to afford gaiters I think!
I totally messed up and let one of them die unclaimed though :( It was at 1% and I was getting careless, so I ran a little too far down the river...only to get charmed by the eye NM. Then Cogtooth decides to die from poison! So no drops for me :(
I did the Hagun enm again, no drop :(
We scheduled a sky farming run on like Thursday because everyone was like "I want haidate/neptunal abj gear/random stuff!!", and then nobody showed up...
Started off as just me/Darkk. Did Zip then Faust.
Thano came up next, so we tried for MG. Didn't really quite work out; I died on the pull and it pretty much just went from bad to worse. Another ls with like a 754980 people got it Ketna came up next and raised us. They were doing really poorly, and eventually wiped.
We recovered faster, since it was only 4 of us. Tried having Ketna pull, but it didn't quite work again and we both died. Thano/Darkk died again soon after. The other LS got it again.
They died AGAIN (they had like the strangest alliance of people ever; 6 NINs 1 WHM 5 BLMs 1 THF and 1 DNC), so then we got it! Got it to about 5%, made a mistake and me/Darkk died. We RRed and was about to deliver the final nuke...when a blm in the other LS killed it...
It was still attacking Thano, and Ketna was alive as well. I always hate when people say "Yellow=fair game" because it's such a silly attitude. It's just common sense/courtesy to wait until everyone in the opposing alliance has died before taking. That's what we did when they wiped. Meh, oh well.
We went to SC after and got it fairly easily.
We went to Diorite after since Seeko logged on. No drop after 1.5hours :(.
The MG incident is kind of the reason I hate sky, and running around all over waiting for NMs to repop, then rushing to claim is also annoying. It was really dissappointing that nobody came up (except Ketna) to help, since we would've definately gotten MG with another person. And I hate having to specifically ask or tell people to come to events, since it should just be common sense to come if you're online.
I made a Gnole Torque maze this week too. The bunny was crazy strong, and totally destroyed us..
Went back the next day as 5 BLM/NINs and a WHM/BLM. Just did ES sleep>nuke order and won! No drop of course.
Going to try and alternate this and the Bugard till Thano/Darkk/Seeko/Arc can finish their maze.
I went to Dynamis-Sandoria as PUP/SCH to try nuking this time. It went fairly well.
My puppet: 1371. BLM: 990.
848 nuke on a statue, then a drain from myself to one 1shot it.
1494 against a Grappler.
I was also able to land Sleep on mobs as well. So while BLM is obviously still better because of sleepga1/2, PUP does ok nuking damage if you need it.
Saturday I put together a Tavnazia run, which some of Alttab's members were less than pleased with...
I don't even see what the big deal was. HPG decided that Valentine's Day would be a free run (which was silly, since both his run and my tavnazia combined had about 30 people; and more would've came if you would get points from it). He decided (no vote or anything) to do Windy to try and farm shells for his level 2 Bravura. I asked in LS if we could do Tav, he refused. A bunch of people in our alliance suggested that if we could set up a Tavnazia, that they would go. So I did.
Had 13 people. Run wasn't the greatest; lots of mistakes. We did get PLD body and WAR legs though!
Thano/Seeko did qufim later that night, and I was getting simulatenous updates on the drops/happenings!
Thano/Seeko are crazy! (but I really wanted PUP cape/SCH belt :()
